How it works

We make it quick to reach a chimney company that serves your address.

  1. You call or send a request

Tell us your town and what's going on: a sweep and inspection before heating season, loose brick or mortar, a cracked crown or missing cap, a liner question, a leak, or storm damage.

  2. We connect you with a local company

Calls and requests go to an independent chimney sweep or masonry contractor that works in Rochester and Olmsted County.

  3. The company handles the job

They quote, schedule and do the work. Pricing, warranties and terms come from them directly.

What we are and aren't

Rochester Chimney Repair is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.

In Minnesota, a contractor who sells a homeowner work in more than one special skill needs a residential building contractor or remodeler license from the Department of Labor and Industry. Masonry, including masonry fireplaces, is a single special skill, so a masonry-only company can be exempt. Ask which applies and look up the license on the DLI website, since only homeowners who hired a licensed contractor can claim against the state's Contractor Recovery Fund. Also ask whether the sweep is CSIA-certified, who will pull any permit, and for a written contract.
